| What
is LocoNet?
The most significant, but
not the most obvious, difference among today's DCC systems
is the system architecture. A simple cab bus won't get you
there. You need a network system, like LocoNet, to ensure
future expandability & maintain compatibility with
existing equipment.
Digitrax LocoNet is a state
of art "peer to peer" network engineered for
high performance, low cost & simple device hook up. It
is a powerful communication network especially designed
for model railroad operations. It is engineered for rapid
response even when many throttles & other devices are
connected to the network. This is not a bus but a true
network.
One simple, reliable easily
expandable wiring scheme supports complete access to all
current & future features.
LocoNet gives Digitrax
customers the best of both worlds, a system that is
compatible with the NRMA DCC standard and one that goes
above and beyond the standard to give them enhanced system
performance & advanced features with more to come!

Stationary Decoders & Detection
More than just a stationary
decoder!
The DS54 has 4 outputs that
can be used to control switch machines, lights for signals
& special effects, sound modules and DC motors for
layout animation. It also has 8 sensor inputs that you can
configure for block detectors, local turnout control,
local route control, turnout position feedback, signaling
system control messages, local animation control and
cascaded route & turntable control.
BD-1 Block Detector for use

Digitrax
Throttles
All Digitrax dual control
throttles use encoders to take full advantage of the
excellent speed control available in 128 speed step mode.
And when you use your throttle to select a loco that is
running, the throttle knob position does not change the
speed of that loco. No more rushing to adjust the throttle
to match the loco's speed! All LocoNet Throttles can be
"Mixed and Matched" on your layout in just about
any combination you want.
DT100IR Advanced Throttle
$149.00 msrp
The DT100IR can be used
with any LocoNet Command Station. This throttle is shipped
with Chief & Empire Builder Sets. It can also be used
with Big Boy Sets to provide additional full-featured
throttles. The DT100IR displays 2 digit, 4 digit or
aliased addresses & switch feedback depending on the
command station in use. The DT100IR is user configurable,
has fast clock capability & access to F0-F8. The
throttle comes with Infrared capability.
UT-1 Utility Throttle
$79.95 msrp
A more traditional
throttle, Simple & cost effective, UT-1 has one large
knob for speed control & a direction switch. For use
with any LocoNet system (Chief, Empire Builder, Genesis or
Big Boy). Runs 2 & 4 digit addresses & consists.
Access to F0-F3.
Digitrax
Boosters
With Intelligent Auto
Reverse
DB100+ Smart Booster
$179.99 msrp
DB100+ is used as an
expansion booster to add capacity toyour LocoNet system.
DB100+ is a powerful 5 Amp DCC Booster rated at 80VA.
DB200+ Smart Booster with
Intelligent Auto Reverse $199.99 msrp
Same as DB100+ with 8 amps!
You might want to add
boosters (DB100+'s & DB200+'s) to your layout for the
following reasons:
- To provide more current
to run more locomotives,
- To section the layout
into power districts to prevent the entire layout from
shutting down when there is a short in just one power
district. Auto resetting, over temp, and short circuit
protections prevent the system from
"welding" derailed locomotives to the track.
- To add intelligent auto
reversing sections to the layout. Note: multiple auto
reversing sections can run with a single booster added
to your starter set.
- All Digitrax Boosters
offer selectable running voltage for scales from N to
G.
All Digitrax Boosters also
work as powerful boosters (power stations) for other DCC
manufacturer's command stations, too.
Digitrax
Command Stations
Rather than building a
"stand alone" command station, Digitrax Command
Stations are combined with boosters in order to keep your
costs down.
DCS100 Command
Station/Booster
The DCS 100 Professtional
Command Station is shipped with Chief Sets and can also be
added to existing systems to enhance their capabilities.

Computer Interface Products
MS-100 Computer Interface
$45.00 msrp
Digitrax MS-100 allows a
computer with an IBM compatible COM or RS232
communicaitons port to monitor LocoNet. Application
software running in the computer sees the activity on
LocoNet and reports back to the user via the computer
screen. You can visit www.digitrax.com for links to the
latest software available. LocoNet Personal Edition is
also available through their web site if you want to write
your own applications.
PR-1 Decoder Programmer
The simplest way to program
your Digitrax decoders, yet! PR-1 is an IBM PC-Windows or
DOS based programmer developed by Digitrax to give you a
more convenient method of programming decoders. The PR-1
Programmer software is included for both Windows and DOS.
