RS-11
Originally built for the New York Central Railroad on a verbal commitment in 1960, these RS-11's had to be shipped back to Alco when NYC management could not get the authority to pay for their purchase. In January of 1961, Alco found a buyer in the Delaware & Hudson Railroad.

Lionel is pleased to offer both versions in his newly tooled, dual motored locomotive.

Features common to both Command and Traditional versions:

• Dual vertical can motors with momentum flywheel, Die-cast trucks, truck sides, fuel tank and pilot, Detailed molded body, Stamped metal chassis, Traction tires, Illuminated interior and number boards, Fan-driven smoke unit, Metal ladders, Opening cab doors, Engineer figure.

• RailSounds with CrewTalk and TowerCom, ElectroCouplers, Directional lighting.
