THE LIONEL ARCHIVE COLLECTION
Mention the name "Lionel Archives" to most any train enthusiast and you're likely to watch their eyes grow in wonder, for there are few places as hallow and mysterious.

Simply put, Lionel's archives are a snapshot of the company's history from the last several decades, holding priceless relics from times gone by. You'll find hand-made, one-of-a-kind factory samples from the 1930's through today, as well as production pieces of a vest percentage of everything Lionel has made during that time period. Many pieces represent ideas never fully realized, leaving us to wonder, "What if...?"

During recent visit through this revered place, we thought that some of these ideas were too good to stay behind locked doors. Hence for 2000, we will be raising the curtain on many of these products to allow them their moment in the sun.

Lionel's Archive Collection will consist of all forms of Lionel products, from locomotives to rolling stock to accessories, and all will be produced in limited quantities. For this catalog, we've selected our first group of favorites, and we hope they'll be yours, too. But hurry- it may be your only chance to purchase them for another century!
